MMR is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial sales executive to drive growth and expand our client partnerships. This is a senior-level role for a results-oriented professional who thrives on building relationships, shaping strategic research solutions, and generating profitable revenue growth.
Position Overview
This individual will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, cultivating long-term client relationships, and serving as a strategic advisor to clients. The ideal candidate brings deep marketing research expertise, a strong professional network, and a demonstrated history of growing revenue through consultative selling.
This is an opportunity to operate with autonomy while collaborating closely with research and operations teams to deliver high-quality, custom insights solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities using established industry relationships and self-generated leads.
Develop and manage a targeted client portfolio aligned with MMR’s strengths and growth strategy.
Serve as a strategic advisor to clients by diagnosing business challenges and recommending appropriate qualitative and quantitative research solutions.
Partner with internal research teams to design, scope, and oversee custom research engagements.
Guide clients through study findings, lead insight discussions, and facilitate strategic workshops to drive action.
Maintain ownership of revenue goals and contribute to profitable growth through effective pricing, scoping, and client management.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and research teams to ensure high-quality execution and client satisfaction.
Provide mentorship and leadership within project teams as needed.
Contribute to data interpretation, insight development, and executive-level storytelling presentations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the marketing research industry, including at least 5 years focused on business development and revenue generation.
Demonstrated success selling and managing custom marketing research engagements across quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate business challenges into actionable research strategies.
Experience working both client-side and supplier-side preferred.
Proven ability to build and sustain strong client relationships while partnering effectively with internal teams.
Expertise across a wide range of research applications.
Strong executive presence with excellent presentation and storytelling skills (in-person and virtual).
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
