The impact you'll make
As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects - you're orchestrating breakthroughs in support of developing and releasing new products. You'll lead cross-functional teams through successful project execution blending your technical excellence with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. Your role is vital, owning technical projects from initiation through delivery using your expertise in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budget.
In this role, you will directly contribute to successful sourcing, supplier ramp readiness, and meeting cost objectives .
What you'll do
Technical Program Manager is responsible for:
• Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services.
• Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
• Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product group tool operations
o Develop workflow and business processes to improve efficiency for tool operations.
o Identify tool operations improvement opportunities and manage the implementation to success.
o Support the management of training and certification for tool users.
o Support the configuration and slotting of new tools and chambers that will be installed in the KTC lab.
o Support the planning and implementation of tool configuration changes.
o Support introduction of new non-standard hardware.
o Work with GWS and EH&S teams to ensure stable lab infrastructure.
o Develop and implement plans to add to lab infrastructure to support the needs of the current and planned tools.
o Work with GWS and Metrology teams for short-term and long-term cleanroom space management. Support planning for Phase 2 lab expansion.
o Support development of the safety program for tool support operations.
• Spare parts logistics
o Drive development of effective business processes for spare parts.
o Support the management of spare parts inventory.
o Manage organic inventory growth, develop & implement systems for future growth.
o Support the planning for and implementation and management of an off-site warehouse for wafers, parts and equipment.
• Support implementation of the Global Labs Execution System (GLES) at the KTC lab
o Develop and support implementation of GLES workflows and processes for cleanroom operations.
o Develop and support implementation of GLES workflows and processes for Send Fab operations.
• Support quarterly operations and financial reporting.
• Support business continuity and resilience overall plan development.
Who we're looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience
- 1+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills to deliver results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company
- Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment and their installation and maintenance requirements
- Knowledge of, or experience with, Lam product group tools (Deposition or Etch)
- Experience in Project management
Preferred qualifications
- Supply chain knowledge, especially for critical commodities as related to sourcing decisions and cost strategies
- Technical background, preferably in semiconductor industry and Etch equipment product knowledge is a plus
- Master's Degree in Engineering Preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point and SAP
- Ability to read and interpret product BOM's
- Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independent of day to day supervision
- Direct experience leading cross-functional teams; Program Management experience required
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking and attention to details for everyday tactical execution
- Excellent people and presentation skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
